Department of Marketing Appears on List of Top Selling Programs
ATLANTA – The Sales Education Foundation has again named Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business to its annual list of top university programs – recognizing it for preparing students for careers in selling and for being among the best locations for hiring sales professionals.
To be considered for the foundation’s designation as a Top University Sales Program, schools must require a minimum of three sales-specific courses and provide internship opportunities. Robinson’s programs exceed these criteria: the college’s Undergraduate Certificate in Professional Sales is a five-course program, and its Graduate Certificate in Sales Leadership has a four-course curriculum. Both programs are offered through the Department of Marketing.
“We are delighted to receive this accolade for our undergraduate and graduate sales programs,” said Department of Marketing chair Naveen Donthu. “It’s a powerful endorsement of our excellent curriculum, and is a reflection of the success of our students in the marketplace.”
Many of the faculty who teach in Robinson’s sales programs spent lengthy careers as practitioners – holding senior sales positions in goods and services, consulting and industry. The Department of Marketing also is home to the Sales Executive RoundTable – an invitation-only organization for top sales officers from some of Atlanta’s largest firms.
Based in Dayton, Ohio, the Sales Education Foundation collaborates with universities, companies and individuals to enhance sales education and prepare the next generation workforce.
