Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA program in the Department of Marketing prepares students for a career in business management with an emphasis in marketing. The MBA program is designed for individuals with work experience who aspire to organizational or entrepreneurial leadership positions. The program enhances general management abilities and provides an opportunity to build expertise in marketing. In its most recent rankings, U.S. News & World Report 2003 survey of the best graduate schools ranked the flexible MBA program at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business fifth best among part-time MBA programs nationwide.
In addition to the general requirements for the degree, MBA students earn a concentration in marketing by taking 12 hours in electives from among the department’s broad assortment of 8000-level courses. MBA students earn a major in marketing by taking 18 hours in marketing electives, in addition to MBA 8140 and MBA 8240.
