About the MAX Awards
The MAX Awards (Marketing Awards for Excellence) honor outstanding new products, new services or new ways to market that have been developed or launched by Georgia-based companies in 2012. Entries are judged on the criteria of innovation, great marketing and success.
The MAX Awards are presented by the Department of Marketing at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business in conjunction with Atlanta Business Chronicle. All proceeds from entry fees and the event are used to support an Outstanding Minority Marketing Student Scholarship Fund.

Georgia Conservancy Takes Home 2013 MAX Grand Winner Award
Organizers of the 21st Annual Marketing Awards for Excellence (MAX Awards) announced Georgia Conservancy as the grand winner for the gamification-based nonprofit membership drive. Gamification is defined as applying the mechanics of gaming to nongame activities to change peopleâs behavior. Georgia Conservancy used gamification to strengthen its relationship with its donors by creating a point system for a list of activities that motivated donors to involve friends and acquaintances and doubled the number of gifts from the previous year.
